Project Description

La Escuelita de Verano de Esperanza is a month long summer camp that takes place at the school of Esperanza for under privilege children. It is located 2 minutes south of Basilico across from the soccer field. It is founded entirely by your generous donations! During the month of January, many of these children are left at home alone, 4 and 5 year olds by themselves, with nothing to do why their parents work everyday during our “high season”. The goal of the program is to provide a safe house for the kids. Many of these children come to school alone, experience difficult situations at home, or are in care by a relative. We provide a fun and safe learning environment for the kids, teaching them about morals and values while engaging them in creative and diverse activities to explore their hidden talents. Most importantly, we provide a healthy snack, meal and drink for around 70 children daily. It’s not uncommon for these children to arrive to school hungry. These are the children who will work for you one day, we hope you’ll choose to become apart of this important cause.
